This year Washington Select Sale has returned to nominated heifers for a “Senior’s Jackpot” drawing. There are a certain number of heifers that have been nominated by their owners. These heifers will compete in a Jackpot Show for premium money on Saturday afternoon. The winning ticket will be drawn Saturday night at the banquet. The winner will select a heifer Sunday morning before the show. 20% of the ticket proceeds go to the Washington Select Sale to offset sale costs. This “Senior’s Jackpot” event was designed to increase the quality of cattle brought to the sale and to help expand interest in the breed.
